Sunrise on Boneyard Beach

Sunrise on Boneyard Beach Sunrise and a beach refreshed with a change of tide, is like birth and rebirth; an awakening with heightened gratitude for nature and the earth around us. Boneyard Beach is located within the bounds of the federally protected area of the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve.

This shoreline boasts a striking beach peppered with massive driftwood trees that harken images of an "elephant graveyard." Here, at sunrise and amidst the "graveyard," you can rid yourself of the distractions of the world and feel higher levels of satisfaction and gratitude for nature. Here too, and like the sun renewing the day amidst a cautionary graveyard, we must again awaken our resolve to protect and preserve this planet we call home.

Sunrise on Boneyard Beach is digital art using a photograph as the canvas and the tools and techniques of digital artistry to capture and share that special moment; deliver a filmic story or elicit a heartfelt response. It is rendered on Torchon by Hahnemühle, a pure cellulose watercolor paper with a distinct textured surface. Sunrise on Boneyard Beach mounted and displayed in a black, 27" x 39" x 1-1/4" floater-frame.
